Thank you to John Young of Walbridge Construction in Detroit, MI for their generous donation again this year. John and his family continue to support the SLA and the Secord Lake community.

Thanks to Secord Lake Marina – On The Water for their ongoing partnership. This year Scott offered a free boat for a hole in one, unfortunately there was not a winner. However, Scott raised $1,231 for the “Quake on the Lake” fireworks celebration. In addition, Brent Wilson donated $1,000 toward this event . In total $2,331 was raised at this event. We all look forward to bringing the fireworks back to the dam upon the waters return!

Special thanks to Richardson’s of Gladwin for the “Win a car with a hole in one” sponsorship on the 10th hole. For the past five years Richardson’s has provided an oportunity for our participants to win a new Chevy vehilce. No winner again this year. Who will break the losing streak and win next year?

Thank you to Family Fare of Gladwin for donating doughnuts for breakfast. Thank you to Dearborn Sausage for donating hot dogs and buns, Better Maid for donating chips. Thank you to Midland Brewing and Evan for handing out samples of their Cooper Kettle ale.

The SLA would like to thank our remaining sponsors:

Our motto is OUR MEMBERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  While it is impossible to thank all the people that made this years’ event possible, we do want to recognize our core 2025 Golf Committee Chaired by Brent Wilson.  Brent and the core team of Heidi and Adam Schroth, Ken Wells, Phil Dast, Marti Drabing and the 2026 Golf Committee Chair Kim Carlson made the event fun for all.  We appreciate your planning and coordination.
